Hi I just saw the dietition and she told me the same thing about cinnamon. My A1C

was 6.4...So she suggested I go to Walmart and get the cinnamon pills. So I'm

taking them...Along with blood sugar readings.I see her in a month. She said they

like the A1C be below 6, but mine wasn't bad.

in Ga.

It's been proven that cinnamon can lower blood glucose levels for Type

II diabetics, and many doctors now are recommending its use for their

diabetic patients. There have been hundreds of studies, trials and

research done to investigate the benefits of this spice and prove that

it did work to lower BG levels in Type II diabetics. I've read as

much as I can find about it, but no where have I found that it would

do the same for Type I insulin dependent diabetics.

Kathy,

Good luck with the cinnamon pills, and let us know the results in a month. Is

your doctor going to do another HbA1c to see if there have been any

changes?

I have an UltraSmart One Touch glucometer which has a wonderful feature of

showing my BG averages over a 7, 14, 30, 60 or 90 day period, so it's perfect

for tracking any weekly or monthly increases or decreases. I rely on this

heavily, and use it to keep myself in check as best I can.

The cinnamon pills sound like an easier solution. I've been mixing cinnamon

in with my coffee, oatmeal or putting it on toast with margerine and a little

splenda, but the pills would be much easier! Guess that means a trip to

Walmart!

If you're tested again, let us know if you've had any improvement.

With love, hope and prayers,

Heidi
