It has been so long since have spoken. How are you feeling? I know

that you have had a bad stint with the flu and I hope that you have

gotten over that without too much trouble to your panc. Seems even

the slightest bug, anything that weakens our immune system, can just

irritate an already upset pancreas. The weather should be warming

soon for ya'll. That always brigthens things. All the bulbs have

come up in the gardens and I love to see the smiling faces of the

dafodils in the morning sun.

My mother always used to say that March comes in like a lion and

goes out like a lamb. Well true to form this year. We have had

some dreadful weather and incredibly gusty winds, very cold. Well

cold for the deep south at any rate. Still all the trees have the

buds of spring clinging to their naked branches. Or rather nek-ged

as we say in the south.

The wind is howling outside and it just gives me chills to listen to

it. I had gone through a pretty bad hurricane several years ago and

the sound of the howling wind, that used to make me think of kites,

now just sends a shiver up my spine. For years after I could not

bare the sound of the strong winds and would cry and literally

shudder with each gust, but time does heal all wounds. Even tho I

had to put another log on the fire to draw the chill from these old

bones. They used to have a lot more padding them.

I was thinking about ya'll today as Billy had his yearly exam.

Prostate Ca is very prevalent in his family. But it had me

wondering how Jim and you are doing. His surgery is just in a few

weeks isn't it. I have forgotten the exact date but please remind

me. I would like to put it on my calander to remember to say a

prayer for ya'll. Please know that even tho we have not " talked " in

a long time I do think about you often and will always consider you

a dear friend. Besides I still have that lovely image of ya'll at

the News Years festivities with all the yanks...lol.

Give Jim and the boys my best and please do let me know the date of

his procedure so that I can say a rosary for you both. Let me know

if there is anything at all that I can do.

Your loving friend always,

Chrissy
