Guest guest
Heidi, Thanks for the info. I will try them. I am willing to try anything at this point. I find myself dragging up and down the halls at the school I work at and dragging when I get home and am trying to do my housework. It is so frustrating. Are those the only vitamins you take? I take centrum and citrical every day. You mentioned pancreas vitamins and antioxidants. What type of those do you take? I am open for any suggestions at this point. Thanks so much! Guest guest
Angie, Fatigue and tiredness do seem to be part of the diabetes picture. I experienced a lot of it early in my initial months right after diagnosis, and of course, those three months that lead up to my DKA. It eventually got a little better, but I still find myself having to nap on days that I've had a lot of activity. I started taking special vitamins and minerals that were for diabetics and that are supposed to help regulate and lower your blood glucose, and these, along with my pancreas vitamins and antioxidants, seem to help greatly with the fatigue, and I do recommend them to anyone else with this disease. The vitamins can be purchased at most grocery stores, and any pharmacy. It's called The Diabetes Health Pack, and it's made by NatureMade. Comes in a large yellow box and a month's supply is about $12-$15, depending upon where you buy them. You might give these a try, I found them to be most helpful and they did help to boost my energy levels. With love, hope and prayers, Heidi Heidi H. Griffeth South Carolina Rep.
