Angie,

You wrote, “I am staying tired all of the time! I went to the doc yesterday

and he said my blood work came back great. No low iron or anything he says it is

just from the diabetes. "

My take on this is that our bodies have an amazing ability to compensate when

the underlying circumstances are in disarray. This becomes obvious when you

develop diabetes and an organ is no longer working. Prior to that, most people

have never given a second thought to the fact that although they consume

whatever they want, their body is constantly secreting hormones and other

chemicals to maintain homeostasis. The body can only do this far so long before

it goes on overload. It isn't until you are taking an injection of insulin every

time a carbohydrate is put into your mouth that you really understand how

amazing it is that the body was designed to do this automatically.

Now, back to your point, on the flip side, we can feel terrible, yet in our

bodies' miraculous attempt to compensate against disease and illness, this isn't

reflected in basic blood chemistries and diagnostics. Homeopathic medicine and

CAM understands this and have sought out tools to assist with early recognition

and diagnosis of problems. When all we have, however, are traditional tests and

our symptoms, it would behoove us to listen to and pay attention to and heed

what our bodies are telling us vs. any blood test. Just as the body was designed

to compensate for irregularities, the body was designed to heal itself. Part of

this healing is to give us early warning signs.

One of the benefits of meditation is that it allows us to get in touch with our

body. We can increase our sensitivity to its callings.
