Hello group!

I recently started seeing a new GI (Dr. Mamel in Tampa, FL). I really like

him....he seems more knowledgeable than my previous GI's. He did all sorts

of blood tests and stool test and everything was normal. He even checked

for cystic fibrosis....and all is normal. I'm kind of glad everything is

normal but part of me is upset because I want to know why I have this

problem. I've been suffering from pancreatitis since 1999 and I've had a

total of 3 attacks. In between the attacks I've had LOTS of flare up pain.

He thinks it might be Pancreas Divism. I'm scheduled to see him in May.

Right now they can't do much since I just found out I'm pregnant. Has

anyone had any problems during pregnancy? He said it's very common for

pregnant women to get pancreatitis, and that it's very risky (for the infant

and mother). This is my 3rd pregnancy and with my previous two I never had

any problems (thank God!).

Anyway, thanks for listening.

Sincerely,

Liana
