Shirley,

Thank you so much for posting the message I sent to you asking for

help for my nephew, . You have always been there for me at my

lowest and I hope and pray I have helped you in some small way

during our battle with pancreatitis. You and I are very fortunate

that our surgeries have helped although your operation was a lot

more complex than mine. I thank God every day that I no longer have

the daily pain after eating that I once had before I had a partial

pancreatectomy to remove the tumor. I can't believe in May it will

be 4 years since my surgery. This past year, I have had problems

similar to before although it has been nothing like the pain I had

before. I hope nothing else is going wrong with my pancreas but

since I have already had two operations on my pancreas, I know that

is always possible. Right now, I feel guilty talking about eating

without pain when I know so many of you suffer everyday. Although I

haven't been active in posting, I always include all pancreatitis

members of this board in my prayers. I really don't know what I

would have done without my friends here. Words could never express

how much I appreaciate all of you who helped me during those days

when I didn't know what to do next. To you all, I say thank you,

God Bless you and I pray that one day the medical field will be more

knowledgeable when it comes to pancreas diseases and pancreatic pain

will be history!

Karyn,

How in the world are you? I was very excited to get your message.

I really didn't think you or anyone would remember me. Thank you

for your thoughts and prayers for my nephew. My sister called last

night to tell me has decided to get the cancer treatment so

they have an appointment today at 4:30 PM with his Oncologist. I

will keep you all posted on his condition. Also, thank you for

making me feel welcome as a member even though I haven't been

active. To me it's like coming home and being able to talk openly

with my dear friends. Even though we have never met in person, I

feel I know you and that you genuinely care about me and others.

I'm sure others feel the same way judging from all the new members

you seem to have now. I Can't believe how the membership has grown

since I left. I'm so grateful to you for starting this site and I'm

sure all the others here feel the same. Through life's jouney,

everyone would like to feel they have made a difference in someone's

life but you have made a difference in many lives. Thanks again for

your thoughts, prayers, love and support. I, too, believe prayer

can move mountains...God bless you and I wish you all pain-free

days.

Hugs & Prayers,

Carole (NC)

Carole,

You wrote, " My sister called last night to tell me has decided to get the

I am just sitting here with a huge grin on my face. I am so happy. It reinforces

my strength to not give up. He has a big haul a head of him, but know that we

are here and holding you all in prayer.
