Guest guest
Greetings! I have been having troule with pancreatitis on a recurrent basis since 9/2003, and I have not worked since 8/2002 (layoff) - At one time they were saying my diagnosis was recurrent acute pancreatitis, and now they are saying chronic pancreatitis, but honestly I am not really sure and I don't know much about the differences. I'm currently #2 in a 3 stent process. I have a number of questions about work/disability. I recently was offered work, but I had to turn it down because I was not physically able to do the job. I have two other significant medical conditions which complicate things. #1 I am Bipolar (of which the pain from pancreatitis is a trigger, so controlling the pain is a high priority...), etc. - and #2 I have a number of spinal tumors, spinal issues in approximately the SAME AREA (disk #11) which cause pain in the right side as well so sometimes I can't tell what is causing the pain problem. So, I have many new found limitations. I have a need to provide for my family and I have not been able to do so in almost 3 years now. God continues to provide for us in the most miraculous ways, though. I have filed for disability and I am waiting. I do hope to get on it soon, so we can get some income, but on the other hand I don't want to depend on disability. So, I am trying to think of ways I can provide for my family with my new limitations. Does anybody know what I can expect with the disability? how long do I have to wait? Is there a career that might be suitable? If anyone has any ideas please email me at the address below Thanks so much!! Rick Nickles on_the_move4ever@...
