Guest guest
Dear Rick, It takes a long time to get your S.S.I.know the first time I got it that it took a couple of years. I lost it when I remarried and was told my husband made too much money for me to continue getting S.S.I.. When my cp was in remission I went to work for two years because today you need two incomes. When I could no longer work I tried to get SSD and was told I didn't have enough work hours in. I am now separated and have filed to get my SSI back. I filed in late October. You just have to wait while they play their little games and red tape. If you go back to work you will lose your chance to get your Social Security. I needed to ask you a question. How did you get tumors on your spine and did you have them before the pancreatitis? Last night I went to a different hospital because it was closer. My husband threatened this hospital with a lawsuit. This doctor came in and barely looked at my back nor did he order an x-ray. He said that I must have strained my back and if I wanted anything for pain, he would have to call my doctor for permission. I told him I didn't need anything for pain because I just had them refilled a few days ago. The problem with my back was when I woke up yesterday morning my back was hurting really bad. I had not fallen or hit my back in any way. There was a knot on my back and the pain was above the knot and moved around to my left side. As muck pain medication that I am on, I shouldn't feel hardly any pain. Any thoughts on what may have caused this? I made am appointment with my regular family doctor for next Wednesday. I hope I have helped you out with you SSI. My love and prayers are with you, Janet
