Guest guest
I cant believe your pain doc is sending you home with an injectable with your bleeding tendancy. That just in in self seem contraindicated. I would certainly discuss that with him or your PCP. He also doesn't seem to understand your level of pain. Have you told him how you condition has progessed of late and things have gotten worse. Dr. Cotton doesn't write for pain meds? I think a note from him to you pain doc might take care of the situation tho. But I dont think you needing something for break through is an unreasonable need at all. I am concerned about the injections tho, that just doesn't seem safe for you. As far as the blood draws, you pretty much already said everything that I would suggest. Lots of water, keeping your arms warm and having it done in radiology. Which actually, even tho it is a tremedous burden may just be your best bet. Especially since an accurate diagnosis is so critical in your case. I wish I had better advice; but you are a tuffy. I hope things get better for you but please keep me posted on how things go. I would definetly give Dr. C a little note or something and let him know how things are going. You are in my thoughts and prayers.
