Guest guest
Kimber, You've just gotta stop running after those kitties! Look what that did to you! You know very well that they can outrun you when they've got a mind to. My Coconut, the long haired white one, has been declawed, so I never let her outdoors because of the other dogs in the neighborhood. Every once in a while someone will stand with the door open and " out " , she scoots, running fast as a flash. Then as soon as I creep up on her to just within grabbing distance....whoosh!......she goes running off again. She thinks it's just a grand game, so last time she did that and I couldn't catch her, I made a big show of going back into the house, and closing all the doors. She didn't like being ignored like that at all. She could see me in the floor length windows, pretending as though I was busy doing something. Within 5 minutes she was up there at the door, scratching to come in! She scratches at the door, even though she doesn't have claws....she doesn't realize that they don't work. I trust that by now you are feeling a little better, and that you've at least graduated up to baby food, if not better. I hope that this cleans your slate for hospitalizations for the year, at least. Try to take some comfort in those kitties that you've gotten all cured from their earmites, and tell them that it's time for them to comfort Mama for a while. Be well, soon! Guest guest
Heidi, yeah, I know, running after kitties is not friendly to the pancreas. As for Coconut, I know that game, it's called " chase the kitty " , or at least that's how Harley feels. The problem with Harley is that if you go inside, she stays outside and has a grand ole time till she's hungry, which may not be until the next day. And even then you may still have to catch her to get her inside. I'm staying on liquids for the next week or so just to make sure that I don't end up right back in the hospital again. Especially as I'm coming closer to being on medicare where it's $200/day to be in the hospital. Kimber -- Kimber Vallejo, CA hominid2@... Guest guest
Jerry, I'm doing okay. Sorry that it took so long to reply. I've been off and on for the past three weeks, mainly because I wasn't doing to well and then because I was too lazy to go online. I'm trying to get back in the habit of going online every day. We'll see how well I succeed. Right now, I'm going through my back log of emails. How are you doing? Kimber -- Kimber Vallejo, CA hominid2@...
