Guest guest
Hi les, I just wanted to congratulate you on your sobriety. I know how it feels first hand. I just celebrated 16 years clean time on March 16th. When I say it , it just seems wierd that 16 years have passed since I took a drink (or illeagle drug). Just take it " one day at a time " . And please feel free to email me or post here if you ever need to vent or " talk " or whatever. There are a couple of us here who are battling CP and staying clean . And just so you know, I still have days that I think about drinking. Especially when I have had a bad bout of pain and even taking the pain meds, I still want to drown myself in self-pity and forget about " life " for awhile. It's OK to feel this way too. It is completely normal for someone in recovery to think about getting drunk or high. When I tell myself this (that it is OK to feel this way), then it helps me to avoid taking that drink or drug. I hope you are feeling better with your pain too. Again, congrats and take care. Kris in TN
