Guest guest
Well I saw the pain team today and I was there close on 4 hours whilst he tried to get his head around my problems. He wouldnt change any meds I was on, but said that noone in the world would be able to work out the interactions. He said no test has ever proved I have CP, sigh and I stated people go for 7 to 10 years before that happens. He wouldnt change one med. he has ordered some blood tests and then everyFriday he will run a test and I wont know what I am being injected with to see what happens. I will have to withhold meds, so I am in pain. That alone scares me (( he said he had no doubt I had pain, and these tests could take 4 to 10 weeks and we may not know what the result is. I said well I have no other options, so why not. He wanted to know how I kept going even functioning. I asked him for help with my 3 biggest problems depression, constipation and pain. He was speechless. He said depending on the result then he would recommend changes. Has anyone else heard of this or been through it. I did think maybe he was doubting me, ? Guest guest
Debs, Did your doc reccommend this team? I have not been to a pm doc yet that is one of my next steps. However, I do feel they shouldn't take that long to get something right. Maybe it will be shorter. I know what you mean about the fear of being without pain meds. I told my doc I was not addicted it was a matter of being so afraid of the pain because I KNOW without a shadow of a doubt I cannot handle it alone! I hope they will have better answers for you soon. I am thinking of you! Angie in SC " The happiest of people don't necessarily have the best of everything; they just make the best of everything that comes along their way.
