Guest guest
Yes. And she has healed being on SCD as well. Many people are forgetting about the Melatonin test for leaky gut & yeast. Thanks for calling. I needed support. I felt you called though for another reason. I hope we understand each other well. How is your dd? Jenn & K Re: intro Hi Jenn, I just talked to you on the phone and found out that your daughter has healed from this crisis and is doing well. I am so glad! Hi, I'm new here and have been on SCD for 6 weeks. Please could you tell me what the melatonin test for leaky gut and yeast entails? thanks janet
Guest guest
Basically, you take the normal amt. of Melatonin and time it to see how long it takes to kick in. It's in the compendium. A very leaky gut will make a person fall asleep fairly quickly. The Norm is about 1/2 hr. When we started, K was falling asleep within 5-10 minutes. Now, she can handle staying awake for about 25 min. before going to sleep. It pays to make sure that your child isn't already used to the melatonin before starting this test. Going a day or 2 without it first should allow it to work without worrying whether the child has a tolerance to it. Jenn & K Re: intro > > Yes. And she has healed being on SCD as well. Guest guest
I would try 1mg first and not more than 1+1/2. He's about how much my dd weighed when she started it.
