Guest guest
Hi , << But my > question is that since the book says we shouldnt have seeds for the > first 6 months do I need to take out the seeds? >> Yes, you should scoop out the seeds in a butternut squash bfore eating it. You can remove the seeds either before or after cooking. << He is also asking to add cheese. When do you suppose it would be ok to add? He never had a problem with it before,>> Cheese will probably be okay for him. Start with a small amount the first day to see how he does and if there is any change in symptoms. Good cheeses to start with are cheddar (mild, medium or marble), swiss, havarti etc.. See the Appendix in BTVC " Cheeses " p 180 Edition 10. The cheeses in Italics are best to start with. << but he also never had problems with green beens either. >> Green beans are a legume and are fibrous. Some peoople do have trouble with them others find them great - it is an indvidual thing. Did you use Fresh or frozen (regular cut green beans or french cut green beans) green beans? Guest guest
Sheila, What I meant to ask was if I should scoop out the seeds in the zuchini. We seem to be doing better now. We introduced cheese, did fine. Introduced apple sauce today and it seemed to make his stools a little more loose (claimed he had a beautiful one at school). We will put that on the back burner for now, along with the green beans. Would it be ok to introduce Avocado next? He wants to have some so bad. Thank you for your help. and Cole

If the zucchini is larger and has larger seeds scoop them out. <<Would > it be ok to introduce Avocado next? He wants to have some so bad. >> You could try avocado first with some egg to make avocado pancakes. I use 1/2 avocado and two eggs. Fry up like pancakes. If/when you try raw avocado just start with a small amount as it is fibrous. ~1 tbsp or less of avocado.
