biofilm communities

I read a comment from Mimi recently about biofilm community. I have since

googled biofilm and found some things about it, but not much about it, say, in

the bowel. I do see that the biofilm community has some bacteria which produce

polysaccharides. That is what we are trying to remove from of our kids' diets,

and starve the bacteria needing it. However, the biofilm produces it anyway.

has very thick mucus in his mouth. One improvement of SCD for him has

been a decrease in his need to chew on everything and his drooling. However, I

notice his saliva is still very slimy, which makes me now think about biofilm.

So, does anyone know any research on this re SCD? How about treating with

medicines?

is not making much progress. We are still at intro level. I recently

stopped all his supps, but that really didn't make much difference. He is

screaming and whining and looks unhappy and sad all the time. We seemed to be

making progress, but now we seem to be back to point A.

I am considering antifungals, or something similar. Of course, if we are

dealing with biofilm, how do we conquer them? One thing I have seen is that they

are very resistant to drugs.
