Guest guest
Hi Gang, Motherhood is more than I ever expected! and I are learning the ropes, though, even if we're old parents! I have been in the hospital twice this year and most recently the first part of March. I was curious to know from fellow members when you find your pain the worse to tolerate. I find it first thing in the morning and sometimes it will wake me in the early morning hours, then most of the morning I deal with the pain until my meds kick in (and even that isn't reliable). Attacks over the years have truly happened at any time during the day, but I have found a majority of mine are first thing in the morning. Any response from members would be greatly appreciated. Guest guest
Evenings are usually my best time, late afternoons and evenings I usually get a spurt of energy. The morning hrs are the worst for me starting about 3 am and going till about 10 or 11 am. If I have a commitment early in the am that I can't get out of, I am junk for the remainder of the day. I only have my son every other week, and both of the past 2 weeks that have been mine, I have spent at my parents so he can just get up and walk to school. Otherwise I have to drive him if we are at the apartment. The whole world we travel with our thoughts, Finding nowhere anyone as precious as one's own self. Guest guest
My pain is worse in the evening most of the time. My nausea is really worse in the evenings. I do have pain in the mornings when I wake up and can usually get it under control very quickly but when I can't and it gets worse that is when I know it is time to go to the hospital. At night I will wake up in pain and take my meds and put a heating pad on and sit up in the bed propped up on pillows until it eases up. I work in kindergarten so at work I can usually take my pain meds and keep going but there are times I have had to leave work due to the pain. Some days it is just a constant thing that won't let up. I am like in the fact that wearing things on my waist bothers me. Jeans are out of the question. I wear dresses to work every day unless it is really cold and then I wear elastic waist pants that are a size bigger. Congrats on your new little one! To have a child is to forever have your heart walk around outside your body! My children are older now I cannot imagine having cp and taking care of a little guy. My heart goes out to you!
