Guest guest
Jean, All I can tell you is what someone I know who went on Medicare for CP told me about their plan with Humana. The monthly premiums are $19.00, Doctor's co-pay is $10.00, and pharmacy is either $10, $15 or $25, depending on the brand of the drug. He said that he'd checked into several other more expensive policies, and that the Humana policy covered as much, if not more, than the more expensive ones. The only drawback is that apparently Humana is normally based in large metropolitan areas, and the size of their regional membership apparently is what dictates the cost of the monthly premiums. For example, more people on policy = smaller premium amounts After hearing about this, I was really excited when I started seeing TV commercials produced by Humana being played on our local station about Humana " coming into our area " . I'm 20 outside of Savannah, and that's where the station is. So I called the number on the screen a few weeks ago, and asked them to send me their information, but I have not received anything from them. I don't know whether this means that they haven't actually started business here, or that my request was lost. They are still advertising every morning, though, so I plan to call again. I'm sorry that I don't have any more definitive information for you. Why don't you check online for their toll free number, and ask them if they offer their policies in your area, and get an information packet? With love, hope and prayers, Heidi Heidi H.
