Hi, Laurie & ,

Noticed from your recent posts that you are in Wisconsin, and I was

wondering what part?

I grew up in and near Ripon (Fond du Lac County) and graduated from

UW in Madison. My

cousin in Berlin (Marquette County) keeps me up on the weather which

sounds pretty

typical, i.e., 10 inches or so of snow every couple weeks up thru

early March. He has diabetes and cooks up his own cinammon recipe.

Laurie, if we had your basement garden, with flourescent lights and

all, here in northern

California we'd be watching out for a raid by the cops, as anyone

that learned of it would

think we were raising marijuana. And if we were, I suppose we'd never

convince them it

was for my pancreatitis pain.

Actually, a Calif house with a basement is rare. We get a kick out

of the public service

announcement frequently aired by our local radio station ever since

the once-in-ten-years

touchdown of a tornado here a few weeks ago. They must have obtained

the ad from

some remote public agency, as they keep telling us that on hearing a

warning we should

go to our basement. I haven't seen a house in years that has one.

Feel free to email me. Since joining the group in Dec, I mostly

" lurk " as some say, waiting

for a decision by my surgeon on my pseudocysts, and just recently

making contact with

Kara and Anyse in the Sacramento area. I pray this finds you both

free of pain and

fighting on, as said.

Kurt in CA
