Guest guest
Jean, I find it all very confusing, also. You really do need to have all the facts and information straight before you make any decisions, and you need to feel comfortable with your choice. In that regard, it may be easier for you to use your husband's current insurer. We're presently being covered by BlueCross/BlueShield, and truly have excellent coverage, with a premium of only $93 per month. I don't know whether this is high or low compared to what other people have, but I think it's very reasonable considering the tremendous doctor, lab, hospital and pharmacy expenses that I cost each month....lol! This is group insurance, though, and if Bob's employer doesn't get out of their bankruptcy, we will lose it, or lose it if he becomes laid off, so I count my blessings each day. There are still 5 months before I have to really worry about the Part B stuff, but it will probably take me that long before I can even figure the whole thing out! But as with everything in life, I will muddle thru it.
