Guest guest
I have had great difficulty in progressing with the SCD with my son, . Recently we went through a really bad time. We finally are doing better. I took all milk products (no goat milk yogurt, no cheese) out and I also took out all fruits. I have come to the conclusion that we are still battling yeast and we really have no remedy for them: no antifungal are working, no prescription right now and S.boulardii was not helping and only making things worse. 's DAN! and our SCD counselor have both recommended fruit, which we were doing, and I know that Elaine did not like the idea of limiting foods. However, had gotten to the place where he was whining all the time and frankly, his eyes held pain. That is a heartbreaker, as all moms know....your child looking at you with pain in his/her eyes and there is nothing you know to do to help. So, Teena, as I looked at your foods, it seemed like a lot of fruit. Maybe you could cut back on that for a while and just see if that helps. , mom to , age 18 yo, ASD, SCD 9/06 Re: 8weeks, need reassurance Posted by: " aneetw " teena@... aneetw Date: Wed Apr 18, 2007 4:16 pm ((PDT)) -I did actually wait a few days in between each new food. he just reacted to almost all of them, so I went on to something new.I can't seem to make any bread-like items with out eggs, and he won't really eat meat with out a sauce. I guess I was compensating. I've looked through all the recipes at pecan bread, and most contain things he can't eat.*sigh* I guess it's back to squash and bananas with meat snuck in.
