Guest guest
, I have a daughter who is 9 and a son who is 12. They fight all the time too! Every now and then they can be so sweet to each other and I think why, oh why can't you do this all the time! I actually like it when they have friends over to keep them occupied so they don't fight all the time. So my house usually has at least 2 extra kids on the weekends if not more. Unless, I am having a bad weekend then my friends will take my kids and let them come over so I can rest up a little. I love what you said about our pancreastine. I would like to use it tomorrow night. My kids will be gone and me and my hubby could go eat somewhere with really greasy stuff!! LOL! And Hey my last name starts with an H so I could be near the top of the list. LOL!!! I am going to miss out some on our camping and stuff early in the summer because of my surgery. But hopefully I will be recovered enough by the middle of July so we can hit the lake! We camp alot in the summer and it is so relaxing. But I know right after having surgery I won't want to sleep in the hard bed of the pop-up we have. Maybe I can borrow our pancreastein then so I can camp! But then someone would have to have my old hurting just operated on one! Guest guest
Well if we all put in our good parts does that mean we can take turns with the good " pancreastein " . Can I have it on Sunday, there is a big family event with tons of food and stuff, sure would be nice if I was up to snuff. But I guess since my last name starts with " r " I would be at the end of the list, unless we go by who is the shortest, then I might be closer to the top...LOL How old are your kids Angie? I have 3, a girl 19 a boy almost 15 (that stinker age) and my baby girl is 9. the boy and the youngest girl drive me crazy. They fight and pick at each other like a bitter old married couple. They have been home all week and I tell you what I better find a job before summer because if I have to spend all that time with them there is going to be trouble!!!LOL
Guest guest
Actually Angie if you have the surgery in early june by july you shouldbe feeling pretty good. Probably better then you have in a while. It will take about 6-10 weeks to really recover fully but you should be feeling a lot better. No heavy lifting or anything for about 12 weeks tho. Maybe you can get an air bed to put ontop of the harder bed of the camper. We used to camp alot too. We would go up to ville NC; its a ggreat spot and then to Huntington Beach and camp right on the beach. That was a long time ago tho. I had filed for separation a while back then my mother died a few weeks later and I was executor of the estate. It was too many lawyers in my life at that time so I withdrew the complaint. Then as I got sicker and sicker I needed the insurance and then when I tried to Cobra at my job I was told it was a pre-existing condition and that I was uninsurable anyway because I had gotten so sick. Lucky thing too, tho, because I had to resign my position and would have lost ALL the insurance. I am still legally married and really dont see any reason to change that. Its not likely I will ever marry again. I wasn't married in my church anyway, so it never really felt real to me. We are very good friends now and he has taken great care of me while I was sick and we sort of have a pretty good system down. they say time heals all wounds but I dont know if that is true. How long did it take you to recover from the bypass? It might be a good idea to try to strengthen yourself as much as you can nutritionally. Increase your dietary protein as it will helps the cells to regenerate and heal. I know protein is hard to take, I could only handle boiled eggs and slimfast. Slimfast actually uses soy protein so its is easier on the body to assimilate. There are a lot of good sources of protein, but that would be a wise move. I even took amino acids pills I got at the health food stores. Also I stopped eating all processed foods and switched to brown rice, 100% whole wheats and real butter instead of margerine it was easier for me to digest acutally, odd as that may sound. Shoot sug, I took so many vits and mins every day I rattled when I walked...LOL Ive lost about 100 pounds since all this started and am still loosing even tho I eat everything now. I do have a problem with edema that I never had before. I am down to about 156 now unless I puff up then I will add about 5-7 pounds, really ticks me off. So I am watching the sodium, which for a southerner is hell...LOL Ohh yeah, you may want to look into a laxative or stool softener. I swear by Miralax, it is the best and nonaddictive. Hawes was the first one to give it to me a couple of years ago and its great. I added a little colace when Istarted on the iron, but next time I get some I will definetly get the carbonyl type. Colace can be addictive to the bowells. But you wil more then likely need something after the surgery so you dont strain. This is a funny story, when I was in the hospital after the Beger I think, I was really bloated and gassy and couldn't move my bowwells. So I asked for Miralx to help with that, anyway the resident didn't really know what it was so I tried to explain it and he just pooh-poohed me like I was some kind of idiot. I told him its a powder Imix with juice. Well that genious wrote for Maloxx mixed with apple juice, YUCK.. talk about looking like some kind of idiot. The nurse and I had a really good time laughing about that one. Email me at cdrrn@... and I will give you the number to the OR desk. You have plenty of time to do that tho. Your lucky you have neighbors that can take your kids, I hve no neighbors to speak of and my kids pretty much have to fend for themselves for fun. They do get along well sometimes and your right, its nice to see that. But theyjust pick and pick and it just drives me nuts. Our kids would probably get along well, especially the girls. Maybe we can meet sometime with them, that would be nice. Talk soon,
