Guest guest
Hi I'm a newbie here and having great gains from my 7yrs DD after being on SCD for about 6 weeks. But no matter how I try we are having probably one infraction a week of sugar/carb. It's only usually a sweet or something that someone gives her when I'm not looking, or an unripe banana from someone that doesn't understand. I know realistically that there are going to be days when some carb creeps in when she is given food by other people without my knowledge. What do you do for an infraction? Increase yeast protocol for a day? Increase betaine and pepsin? Give a zyme prime or a AFP peptizyde? How can the effects be minimised? Do you have to go back to the intro diet if there is an infraction? Thanks, Joy
Guest guest
Boy do I understand this post. : D We use enzymes. They do help. By far the biggest problem with infractions is that they feed the yeast. Even if she doesn't show a yeast overgrowth, assume that she's going to have one (since the yeast just got a picnic). Another idea is to make sure there are plenty of alternatives like scd candy. I ended up giving candy to our friends to help them understand. It did help. One way or the other, don't stop. It gets easier and your daughter is making gains even with the slip ups. joymroscoe@... wrote: Hi I'm a newbie here and having great gains from my 7yrs DD after being on SCD for about 6 weeks.
