Guest guest
Below is our favorite lemonade recipe I thought I'd share. - For SCD it should be diluted I assume? If so, how much should we dilute it & can we still throw in the entire piece of fruit (we have a regular juicer, so the pulp is sorted out, but I think the lemon peel adds a zesty flavor). 1 serving: 2 large whole green golden delicious apples -- cut so that it fits down your juicer chute 1/2 lemon (peel included) -- also cut to fit Juice them together and serve immediately, as it will turn brown if stored (although it still tastes good). You will have to adjust the amounts if you come across very small apples/very large lemons in the produce section -- this happens sometimes! --------------------------------- Ahhh...imagining that irresistible " new car " smell? Guest guest
Hi , << For SCD it should be diluted I assume? If so, how much should we dilute it >> For SCD newbies straight juice should be diluted with at least equal amounts of water (or perrier etc) to an amount of juice. << & can we still throw in the entire piece of fruit (we have a regular juicer, so the pulp is sorted out, but I think the lemon peel adds a zesty flavor). >> If all pulp is removed it should be okay as long as you clean your fruit prior to juicing. Still, since starting SCD start with a smaller first glass to see how it is tolerated and gradually increase amounts. << 2 large whole green golden delicious apples -- cut so that it fits down your juicer chute >> Your fruit should be ripe even if juicing it. So, if you mean a green golden delicious to read an unripe Gold. delicious you should use a ripe golden delicious because some of the properties of unripe fruit can cause bowel upset.
