Guest guest
Hi Chrissie, Saw your post about the hernia. Just to let you know that i had an incsional hernia after my TP which i had repaired, but the team in Liverpool don't use mesh. They repair it by suturing, which they told me was a bit like darning. I haven't had any problems with it since it was done. Just to let you know that there is another option to the mesh, which is just as effective (the team at Liverpool say they have had more success with the suturing method). How's the job searching going? I've got 14 days annual leave, so we are having a break in the Lake District. Take care. Sue
Guest guest
OK. I emailed the surgeon and asked him about the hernia. Surgery is not an option as I am allergic to the mesh that is used and had a HORRIBLE nightmarish experience when some was placed a few years back. I am working steadfastly on returning to my profession and it was mentioned to me that with my luck as soon as I landed the perfect job it would strangulate or something worse. Heidi, I went shopping in Myrtle Beach a while back. It is just as close for me as is Citadel Mall. Anyway I went into several lingerie shops and found some really wild corsettes. Black leather and red PVC. They were very interesting but I dont think I would wear them for abdominal support..LLOL. The black one did look really good on me but I could not afford the thigh high stilleto boots that match (boohoo *S*). dont feel bad about the bikini. I haven't been able to wear one in years and wouldn't be caught dead in one now. However, I can sport a plunging neckline tankini and turn a few heads (middled aged men with visual difficulties) well that is until I turn around...LOL Peace has returned to my kingdom.... the kids spring break is over!!! Funny story, Lilly my 9 year old had asked for a kitten. I am not so fond of cats as I am a big bird watcher and dont want cats scarring them off. Anyway, I over heard her in her room praying " please God, please let them give me a cat " I told her dad and we laughed. How sweet, not a snowballs chance, but how sweet. Well the next weekend we were outside and I saw this little critter. It ran off then came back and Lilly saw it that time and low and behold it was a cat. I didn't believe her until I finally saw it myself. It is really a kitten about 6 months old or something. She blesses God for answering her prayers. Its very pretty but extrememly skittish. Probably dumped off on the side of the street in a litter and the last to survive. Disgusting people do that all the time on rural roads, dumping unwanted animals. Special place in hell for them if you ask me. Anyway, guess we have a cat now, I bought cat food to protect my birds and have been praying for a job! Guest guest
, A couple of people who have had similar surgeries to me and couldn't have mesh to replace the muscle they lost, had alloderm used instead. Cadaver muscle. Apparently after a year or 2 one can't distinguish between the patient's own muscle or the cadaver's. It is expensive, but insurance would likely pay for it...that could solve the surgery issue you think? or do you hate me now because I might have found another way for you to have it fixed? *L*
Guest guest
, You need to get your little girl to pray for your job! She did pretty good on the kitten. That is too cute!!!
