Guest guest
Rhonda, one of the reasons you might have had a change in the pain location is that pancreatitis does progress as time goes by. As the disease gets worse, the pain usually gets worse by moving from just under the ribs to into the back and sometimes to the left or right, or both (or vice versa) . Also, where you get the pain can and does vary per person as the damage happens in different locations for different people. Again, this is only what I've learned over time and not guaranteed to be medically accurate as I'm not a doctor. So this is just what I've gleaned from reading articles and talking to my doctors. I suggest you bring this change in pain location to your doctor and see what that doctor says. Personally, my pain has always been under the ribs in the middle of the abdomen, but on those occasions when I've had my worst pancreatic attacks, the pain has traveled to the back and to the side (sometimes it's been to the right and sometimes to the left). I'm sure you'll hear more from the others on the group about this. Kimber -- Kimber Vallejo, CA hominid2@...
