Guest guest
I love Jude's idea of travelling across the U.S. and staying with different MGB-ers! We could call it " MGB Hostels " , or " MGB Bed & 2 tbls' of Breakfast " .... how much FUN would that be? In case anyone is wondering where I stand in the process... My PCP and I are " negociating " on who will do my surgery. I would like the MGB since its cheaper and I'll have to be self-pay, but he would rather I stayed in town where he could check on me in the hospital... (sweet of him, but...) He also is worried that if I had a leak, or needed any type of followup surgery, that a surgeon here in town would be reluctant to operate on me if he didn't do the original job... So we will continue to " negociate " and I'll also speak with a local surgeon and a psychiatrist before my (our?) final decision is made... XOXO to all from the PHAT chick, Cindy p.s. Even if I do end up having surgery locally, can I still belong to this group? I dig the support, love & laughter on this list!!

Guest guest
Well, if not, there should be. Can anyone tell me about the port holes...the whole reason that I want to have the laproscopic surgery and not an open surgery. To some of you post ops, do the port holes get very small and undetectable or are they always there?
