Guest guest
Hi I was wondering what people's experience are of these patches I currently take morphine slow release and get terrible constipation. Does this improve on this patch. Are you not to dizzy with it? Debs
Guest guest
FYI, The maker of these analygesics has a new model. It is about the size of a credit card and is worn against the skin. However, it has a recessed button that alows the wearer to control the dosage of the medicine by pushing the button. and has a " letter of approval " for this device but I don't think that means full approval yet. Hopefully it is a better method and those who use " the patch " might benefit. Best wishes, Poncho - GA
Guest guest
> I was wondering what people's experience are of these patches > I currently take morphine slow release and get terrible constipation. > Hello, I was given the Duragesic Patch during one of my hospital stays where I had hospitalists caring for me instead of my own doctor. It was horrendous, although I really don't remember much. I became extremely psychotic and sometimes combative. I was told I did some very abnormal activities: wandering the halls, pulling out my IV, and even more embarrassing activities regarding clothing (or lack thereof). Evidently, I am very sensitive to that medicine via patch. I've not heard of others here who reacted like that, but I have a friend who did that because of another medicine. We need to be careful what we let in our bodies...but then again...we won't know until we try it. Hope that helps...and doesn't freak you out!?!?!? Guest guest
I did the same thing on the patch, very psychotic, pulled everything, drains, iv, punched a nurse. I ended up in a coma from all the damage I did. Turns out I was allergic to morphine. They switched it to Fentanyl and delaudid(sp). It was a little too late. Almost killed me, I went septic in the coma and was near death for 22 days.
