Guest guest
Hi, how have you been doing yourself?? Have your feet healed completely yet? Thanks for asking, and yes I am feeling alittle better today. I thought I was doing pretty good until last evening, I was hit with another attack.(SOD) It seems that just when I am starting to gain alittle strength, then whammo. I am doing better tonight, but this morning (6am), I was awakened with chest pain and heart pounding. I woke my hubby and told him to be ready to go to the ER. I was feeling pretty bad. Anyway, I think that I let myself get too dehydrated and as a result, my body was trying to tell me in a frightening way. I have been having so much nausea lately from the " flu " and the SOD attacks that I didn't want to eat or drink because of it. So I decided that I had better get a good amount of water into me or I knew the hospital was the next step. Luckily for me, the water helped and I avoided the trip to the ER. I also realized that I had stopped the Oxycotin that Dr. Lehman gave me when I was discharged from the hospital, only 4 days prior to my first SOD attack (last tuesday). So today I started back on the Oxycotin along with my demerol and " so far so good " . I was able to eat some food too and now I am doing much better. I think that I am just about over the " flu " , but my pancreas and this SOD is just knocking me down. It has also been hard (being sick) because we have had a couple of really nice days with lots of sunshine, and I can't do anything but lay on the couch. Well, I guess that's enough whining for me. I know that I have to wait for approximately 2 months to see if this sphincterotomy worked or not. Hopefully it will give me a couple of months (or years) without SOD attacks again. My daily left-sided (pancreas)pain is pretty manageable with pain meds, thank goodness! Take care Kris in TN
