Guest guest
Hi Kurt! The program that this bulletin board truncates email addresses (I guess for privacy purposes) so I do not have the full address. Try sending it to my email (goutbuster @ yahoo . com - no spaces of course, I just did it this way to overcome the security). I will be happy to look up some stuff for you. It seems as if you have a lot to think about in order to make a good decision. I am happy that the surgeons are not leaning towards malignancy as pancreas masses are very hard to detect and because of the nature of pancreatic cancers, surgeons try to err on the side of being too aggressive. I am not knowledgeable at all about hernias or other things that could be causing your " lumps " but if I run into anything that describes something like that I will pass it on too. I can understand too why the FNA of the cyst wouldn't be recommended if it is a very debris ridden. dense, or fatty. Any spillage into the peritoneal area would be painful and possibly lead to infection. As well as you have worry about how accesible the cysts are to the needle - you have to be careful of intestines, blood vessels, nerves, etc. But surgery is also very complicated.......With the pancreas, there is just no easy answers...it is all a trial and error thing with lots of luck thrown in. No wonder surgeons and endoscopists are fairly wishy-washy in their advice! I am a Mac User...always have been, hopefully always will be. We have saved up enough money to purchase a new lap-top for home use but I am hesitating because of the cost of the monthly ISP charge. I am loath to add on another monthly bill. And it seems that with computers, like cars, once you buy they just cost and cost and cost.........So that is why I am relying on the one at work, however tenuous the link may be for now. Sod farming is very popular in our area because we live in a marshy, loamy part of the state. In fact, we are surrounded by drainage canals that are all that keeps the fields from being underwater basically year round. We too are spoiled in the quality of the soil - the best in country I think. Wyoming would definitely not be a gardening state - too dry, too alkaline...but maybe I can have a bunch of containers and talk the ranchers into giving me their horse manure. I wasn't aware that the Californians were into Wyoming too. I was hoping that staying away from the mountain areas that I could avoid them. The Gillette area is basically a very quiet, subdued, dry, dark and private place from what I can gather from infrequent visits. I just know that it was common for us to drive the stretch between Gillette and Buffalo and only meet one car on the opposing lanes on the freeway (this is about an hour driving). This appeals to me greatly....the privacy, the quiet, the complete darkness at night.......... So, I will look things up for you to have ready when I get your email address!
