Guest guest
I just don't understand why my daughter's levels aren't going down. NO one seems to have an answer. How long can these remain so high??? Thanks, Amy
Guest guest
I did not see your original post, but my enzyme levels have been up for almost a year. The physicians tell me now that they don't even look at the levels anymore they go based on my symptoms. Please tell me more about your daughter. I had my pancreatitis due to malabsorption and cystic fibrosis. Deb
Guest guest
Deb, Thanks for responding.... A reason for Amber's pancreatitis has not yet been established. I brought her into the hospital on the 4th of January with a very low temperature, blood pressure, heart rate, vomitting billius & lethargic. Her Lipase was over 6,000, her Amylase at about 1,000. They admitted her for complications of pancreatitis. She has been in & out of the hospital since, has become 100% TPN dependant, is in chronic pain, vomits daily, has developed systemic sepsis twice, is bring treated for chronic diarrhea, has begun experiencing very frequent urination. Her current Lipase level, from yesterday, is 1132. Any insight would be appreciated. Thanks Again, Amy
