I wanted to share that Dr. Sutherland said that after doing research on the

location of islets cells in the human body, he feels that they are, indeed,

located elsewhere other than the pancreas. He said that was the only was he

could account for the fact that persons who had undergone the TP/w/o ICT had

evidence of insulin production. Therefore the risk of developing diabetes after

surgery can vary. This was in a conversation so, unfortunately I do not have

a reference to support that statement.
