That is a good example of just how much larger percentage of islet cells are

housed in the tail of the pancreas. I had a Distal Pancreatectomy, in which

the tail was removed.

Yet, the doc says he doesn't think I would be a good candidate for tp/ict

because of the shape of what is left. He doesn't think they would be able to

harvest enough cells and even if they could he thinks with all the other

scar tissue I would probably still be in pain...
