Guest guest
Ms., Although I appreciate your concern about my surgery, I do not condone anyone sending unwanted mail. It so happens I read your website before you ever contacted me. Even though some of these items need to be researched and I have researched them, I found your past very incriminating. Meaning that you have had a lot of past run-ins with some very distasteful acts. I do not believe I wish to be associated with someone of your caliber, and I sincerely hope you take this as it is meant: do not ever, under any circumstances, e-mail me or contact me in any way. If you proceed with sending unwanted e-mails to people, you are going to end up in some serious legal trouble. If you do contact me again, I WILL report you to the appropriate authorities. Do not doubt that I feel for your problems, but I have contacted many, many post operative people, most of them being 1 year post operative, and NONE of these people have had any problems. I do hope you find some peace, but you will not find this peace continuing as you are. I Do NOT have to tolerate being harassed by someone with a less than appetizing background. I am from Alabama, and your type of trash talk is one of the reasons I left. If I moved to get away from your type of ridiculous ideals, then I most certainly will not accept it now. DO NOT CONTACT ME OR ANY OTHER UNWILLING PERSONS AGAIN. If someone cares to read your story, there are many links to get there. Let people decide on their own, as I have done. I do find it disturbing that you claim to be looking out for one's best interest, when your past is littered with reprehensable acts that are AGAINST one's best interest. So, in your best interest, take this e-mail to heart. I, nor anyone else on this e-group, wish to be contacted by you. Remember, I WILL report you to the proper authorities. Sincerely, Louisa Belding http://www.fourlane.com/mgb Before you have the " mini-gastric bypass, " you should know of a serious danger that only the Mini-gastric bypass has, that no other weight loss surgery has, that Dr. Rutledge does not tell you about, alkaline reflux. Alkaline reflux can NOT occur normally, it only happens as the result of a surgical procedure. It causes intestinal contents to be dumped from the intestines into the stomach. This is very dangerous because intestinal contents are alkaline, and much, much stronger than stomach acid. When this happens, the stomach lining gets eaten away, as does the throat. Here are links to information about the dangers of the minigastric bypass: Pictures showing why the mgb dumps intestinal contents into your stomach (which no other weight loss surgery does): http://www.fourlane.com/mgb/pictures.htm Photographs and medical reports of the damage the mgb causes: http://www.fourlane.com/mgb/picture2.htm Medical Studies showing the Dangers of the Billroth II loop (used in the MGB): http://www.fourlane.com/mgb/problems.htm http://www.fourlane.com/mgb/cancer.htm My damage in 5 months: http://www.fourlane.com/mgb/mymed.htm Post-Ops, read this: http://www.fourlane.com/mgb/postops.htm There are a dozen surgeons, some of whom used to do this procedure and did a LOT of research on it, 25 years ago -- who have spoken out against Rutledge for doing this surgery because it CAUSES this problem. Note, it CAUSES the problem, it is not a minor little " risk " of the surgery. Here are some links to doctors telling you why the minigastric bypass has dangers that no other weight loss surgery has and why you shouldn't have it: http://www.mini-gastricbypass.com/OtherSurgeons.htm http://www.gastricbypass.com/SOMO.html http://www.fourlane.com/mgb/doctors.htm Patients who say they are " happy and losing weight " are the only people he lets post on his message board. I am banned and so are many others. But NONE of his patients had surgery over 3 years ago. Out of 963 patients, he did 663 of them THIS YEAR and most of the WORST DAMAGE from the surgery can take 5 years to set in. This alkaline reflux also has a high correlation to cancer. These are proven facts, not theory, but he sets it up on his webpage like it isn't anything to worry about, and tries to " argue it. " Think about this: A doctor has a DUTY, a LEGAL DUTY, to warn you of risks, even if he personally doesn't think the risk is much. On my website, you will see dozens of pages of proof that what I am telling you is medical fact, yet NO WHERE in Rutledge's warnings or risk of the surgery does he tell you about this and it is THE SINGLE WORST RISK OF HIS SURGERY and it is ONLY A RISK with the MGB. NO OTHER WEIGHT LOSS SURGERY CAUSES THIS! There are other laparoscopic surgeries -- they are fast, they have minimal recovery, they have minimal scarring and NONE of them has this risk. After you know this risk, think of even one good reason to have the MGB instead of some other surgery. Here are some links to weight loss surgeries done laparoscopically and other weight loss surgery information: http://www.fourlane.com/mgb/wls.htm http://www.duodenalswitch.com http://homepages.ihug.co.nz/~olwen/links/wssu.htm http://www.obesityhelp.com/morbidobesity/ (AMOS - association for morbid obesity support) Don't be fooled. The MGB is NOT the only laparoscopic surgery out there, but it IS the only one that can leave you in terrible shape. Alkaline damage cannot be treated with medicine. I have the ulcers from it already and they have to be SURGICALLY REMOVED. See the proof. I have put up a lot of new information here, including detailed pictures and photographs, as well as the statements of one dozen top bariatric surgeons. http://www.fourlane.com/mgb In case you don't know it, until Rutledge was fired from his last job 3 years ago, he *never* did any research or work in weight loss surgery or obesity at all -- he came up with this idea as his personal little money maker, using an abandoned, dangerous, but fast, trauma surgery he had learned how to do. If you look at his publications (I have put these up on the site with synopses), they are all statistical analyses, not any scientific research at all. Ask yourself why a doctor would go out of his way to NOT warn you about a serious, known risk of surgery that ONLY and SPECIFICALLY his surgery can cause. Then see the proof of just how bad it is. You'll understand why he lies -- he has to because if you knew the truth, you would never have the surgery! He also probably submitted your insurance pre-approval under a fraudulent code, 43846. If your insurance was given the right code, they would never approve it. The RNY is an accepted procedure, the MGB is an abandoned dangerous procedure. It's just another lie he has to tell. http://www.fourlane.com/mgb/insure.htm Here is how to find a lot of other Weight Loss surgery Support groups: Go to http://www.egroups.com and sign in. Then click on " my groups. " In the search box, type in the letters OSSG (that stands for Obesity Surgery Support Group). You will turn up dozens of links. Sign up for some of the big ones, ask questions, talk to people who have had other surgeries. You will lose weight with ANY of the weight loss surgeries, and they can ALL be done laparoscopically. Please, have some other weight loss surgery, not this one. It is the only one that has THESE risks, in addition to the other known risks of any weight loss surgery. You will have to live with your decision the rest of your life. Do you want to spend it worrying if you will be one of the people who will get the terrible damage the minigastric bypass causes? -- Kind regards, http://www.fourlane.com/lindat --------------------------------------------- ROBERT R.
