Guest guest
Hi Deb, I have had this happen also. I haven't had a period since November of 2003!!!!!!!!!!!! I am 35 years old. I finally went to my OB/GYN and they did blood work and I had a high Prolactin level, which is what makes breast milk. He put me on Parlodel to decrease my levels and possibly start my periods again. My surgeon and Internist did not want me taking this medication along with everything else that I take. My Internist repeated the blood work and my level was normal after it was previously high just three months before. I wish I knew what the deal was too, but I don't. My docs think it is just from the CP and all the changes in your body from that along with all the meds. Wish I could have given you an answer, but I'm with you on this. . .at a loss!!! T. Guest guest
I haven't had mine completely stop for any period of time but any time I have an attack (severe or minor) my period gets very erratic. I have had times (like currently) where it will go on for days it seems very very lightly, not even like a real cycle. I asked by Primary about it and she feels it's due to my body's response to the stresses of the CP. Hope this reassures you some that you are not alone in this symptom. Guest guest
Oh Good, I'm not alone. I also haven't had a period in about 2 years. My OB/GYN said mine was due to a combination of malnutrition and anemia. She was thinking about putting me on birth control pills to bring it back, but they all have a tendency to cause acute pancreatitis attacks, something I like to avoid as much as possible.
