Guest guest
Hi. I have a son who was diagnosed with ASD six months ago (he just turned 5). We have tried GF/CF diet. I've noticed a difference with gluten, but put some casein back into his diet because I didn't notice taking it out helped him. The reason I'm going to try SCD is because I've recently tried rice cakes with my son that have nothing but organic brown rice and sea salt and he was the worst I had ever seen as far as stimming and fogginess. I was so happy that he finally ate a rice cake and then stumped when he had such a bad reaction. I checked out Elaine's website and everything that she indicated was illegal were things my son seems to have a bad reaction to. I'm not sure how we're going to do this since he is such a picky eater, but I know it can be done. He's always loved carbs. He used to eat 10 pancakes at once when he was 18 months. Wish us luck.
