To Chrissy re hernia

Hi Chrissy, you sure are keeping those surgeons busy. Sorry about

the

hernia repair, but I guess it must be done. I have had a small

sliding

hiata hernia for years that does cause me pain & mucho indigestion

when

acting up. I am curious what is yours doing? I probably missed the

post explaining, I seem to be having trouble keeping up with

everyone's

stuff, but I hope we can meet one day when we are all feeling good!

I'm

the one in ton that is always cold!!! How about this weather?

Thanks , and your right its just freezing. Thank goodness I

was too lazy to pack up all the winter clothes yet...LOL

I have an incisionl hernia about midway down my belly. It has been

getting bigger and bigger and I tried to avoid surgery but then it

got to about the size of my fist and really hurts. It wakes me up

at night and when I spoke to my pcp needing something stronger for

pain I knew I had to do something about it. I certainly cant find a

new job with this thing popping out all the time, or having to take

narcs for pain.

Dr. will be doing the repair and he believes it can be done

with a lap and will use mesh. The lap is great but I had a horrific

allergic(?) reaction to mesh that was used for a previous hernia

repair. That mesh had to be removed 6 months after it was put in

and that hernia is still there, but I am used to that one and dont

want it touched. I didn't even tell him about it even tho he asked

if there were any more *S*.

I have always had bad experiences with surgery. The least lucky

person on earth! I just hope that this one will be different. I

could certainly use something good to happen in my life for a change.

I would love to meet you some time aswell. Maybe when I have

recovered, we Carolina girls can have lunch. Sounds good to me.
