Speaking of airlines and the seatbelts extenders......I am going on an

Amtrak trip in December does anyone know what those are like, dimensions,

and will my butt fit in them.

Thank you Ms. Jenn I feel a little relief. My son won 2 roundtrip tickets

on the Heartland flyer from Oklahoma City to Ft. Worth, TX when he got a

homerun ball at a Redhawks game. So we will be going on December 14. It'll

be my first Amtrak trip, I've ridden trains in Japan but the butt was

smaller back then.

And Artstart, thank you also for that vivid picture.....

Hi Phyllis!

I love riding trains! I've been on the, " Coast Starlight, " for several

trips from Salem, OR, to Los Angeles, CA. The seats on Amtrak are wider

than airplane seats, have more legroom available, and there are extending

legrests as well as the seatbacks that recline. I found them very comfy and

easy to stretch out and rest in.

I don't remember the seatbelts being manditory like they are in planes. In

fact, you are encouraged to move around onboard since there is a viewing car

full of windows and a family activity car where movies are shown and games

are available to play. Sometimes Amtrak even contracts for roaming

entertainment onboard... I've seen artists doing charicatures, comedians,

and magicians doing parlor tricks roaming the aisles in my trips.

I hope that helps!

Hi Phyllis,

When you come to Fort Worth please give me a call or let me know when

you will be in. I would love to pick you and your son up and take you to eat in

the historical Fort Worth Stockyards area. I hope you have a layover of 2 to 3

hours so we can do that. I would be thrilled to show you some of the sights.

Call me at 817/ 577-0919 day or night.

Love,

Genz
