Guest guest
My son (3) has UC and my husband and I have been thinking lately about how ever since he started eating solid foods (late, at 18 months) he would just chew and chew and chew, he rarely swallowed much of anything. And always has wanted too much in his mouth at a time, no matter how many times we remind him to swallow what's in his mouth first. Now at age 3 he still does this, sometimes chews something for 2 hours before spitting it out. He of course swallows food now, but he never outgrew the excessive chewing thing. So we are wondering if this is somehow related to a lack of enzymes problem, or related at all to his UC? Does anyone have any experience with this type of thing? Thanks, Levi (3): UC, SCD for a few months and Eleanor (4 1/2): healthy kid
