Guest guest
Amber had her surprise GI appt yesterday with Dr. Lowe of Children's in Pittsburgh. He was very concerned about her status and gave us the option of her having her admitted for more invasive testing while we were there or to wait until Monday & bring her back. We opted for Monday so that we could get plans arranged for the other kids. He said if she has problems over the weekend & can't make the trip back to Pittsburgh that we will have her transported through Hershey. The hope is that they find something that Hershey has missed. He thinks that the chances of finding something are good. He said that this is the longest he has ever seen pancreatic enzyme levels this high for this long, making the chances that something has been missed/looked over. I am trying my best to see the light through all of this & it has been real tough. I haven't been able to do anything, beyond pray, for quite some time & things are worsening. They called today & she will be admitted to Pittsburgh on Monday at 10 am. We are not sure what her stay will entail or how long it will be. I will be spending most of this weekend preparing for the trip there. Thanks so much.... Amy
