The dilatation in the duct of the body means that, I think, the duct

in the area of the middle of the pancreas. This duct has widened a

little. The stricture means that the duct in that area is collapsing,

so to speak. It may be caused by the hardening of the fibrotic area

of the pancreas head putting pressure on the duct and causing the

fluids to back up into the duct of the body. Yes I would think that

would cause an increase in your pain. Show those results to the pain

doctor as physcial proof that your condition has worsened and your

need for pain medication to be modified appropriately.

I hope you feel better soon but I understand that until May 5th you

will be quite stressed. Maybe you could ask for seomthing to help you

relax a little. That certainly helped me and I wouldn't mind having a

little ativan myself. that stupid hernia really has me stressed.

Let me know how things go and if there is anything I can do.
