Weight gain/loss

My son did not gain weight until we started scd. He did not grow for 2

years and the dr. was not concerned (same shoe size/clothes

size/weight). After we put him on scd he gradually started gaining

weight.

My son had the same thing. He has worn the same 18 month size clothes

for over a year and been in the same shoes. We started SCD 3 months

ago, after one month we went to the doctor and he was 24 pounds so he

had gained a couple pounds, but I didn't know how recently. Well, we

weighed him again 2 weeks ago and he was 28 pounds!!! That's a 4

pound gain in 2 months which is quite impressive. He's still wearing

the 18 month size clothes, but I expect he'll be out of them in

another month or two.

His most recent thing is that he can't stand to keep his shoes or

socks on. He cries when he sees me get his shoes and pulls both socks

and shoes off at the first opportunity. Why? I'm not sure if this is

a positive thing - because he has become much more aware of everything

in the past couple of weeks, or if it's a negative ASD thing. The

fact that he is capable of pulling them off is certainly a good sign

though. I really don't think he had the ability to do that a couple

of months ago.
