Guest guest
Hi Heidi, just wondering where u are getting your information re needing a acid inhibitor & pancreatic enzymes. I actually make little to none hydrocloric acid, but alot of bile refluxes into my esophagus & the proton pump does not work on the bile. There are many natural ways to prevent or help acid reduction, and I do have Barretts esophagus, supposedly from too much acid, but in my case bile, so I believe what u are saying is not necesarily true re the two being needed together. A perfect Ph balance would be optimal of course, but obviously the porcine can & does work for me without an acid reducer. Everyone is different and stomach acid can & does change from moment to moment & day to day, so by taking these drugs that stay in your body for so long, there is no way of knowing what your body is doing. Just my 2cents worth......
Guest guest
, I too am on Prevacid with my enzymes. My doctor explained it to me the way Heidi explained it in her e-mail. Viokase enzymes are not coated. In order for them to work properly a drug like Prevacid needs to be taken. Just what I've been told by the docs, Crystal Galloway
Guest guest
, My doc prescrived them to me for the same reason as Heidi's doc. To help the enzymes get to where they need to go. It also seems to help some with nausea. Angie in SC " The happiest of people don't necessarily have the best of everything; they just make the best of everything that comes along their way.
