I use to use Dannon all natural plain yogurt as starter but just

noticed that they have started putting pectin in their ingredients. I

remember that pectin is bad, right? Does anyone know of some other

commercial starters I can use?

Hi " eacgetwell " ,

Yes, you need to avoid starters that have pectin.

Some other commercial starters are at :

Dannon has several types of plain yogurt. I believe they all have

pectin except the 'Dannon All Natural Plain yogurt'. This is the one

with out pectin. Not the 'non fat' or 'low fat' version. I check my

lables everytime because it's so easy to grab the wrong one.
