Guest guest
Hello friends - We had just started chelating Luke w/suppository DMSA again after a break due to sickness and travel. A few days later, we sort of broke down and let the little guy get some of the carbs he loves so much and had been denied for 9 months; gf waffles, potatos, gf cookies, a huge basket of corn chips. All kinds of stuff. The crazy part is that even after that onslaught, he proceeded to make a series of picture perfect stools. We saw similar things when we began chelating but didn't provide all of the carbs. I'm not sure to attribute it to reduction of inflamation, or the DMSA nuking bacteria, but we are fairly certain the DMSA was the trigger. Has anyone else experienced this? Thanks! brian __________________________________________________
Guest guest
Yes, my son has no more reactions to foods whether stool or behaviorally, but just remember that you are to stick with SCD for one full year after total recovery. You are running a high risk of relapse if you go back to non SCD before a full year of a completely healed gut. Guest guest
We haven't chelated since October, but when we did, on chelation weekends (with no illegal " treats " ) 's poops were always the best. Since we were stopping all mineral supplements on chelation weekends, we theorized that it was one or more of these supplements (maybe magnesium) that made for soft stools and leaving them out firmed them up. This is just a guess. , mom to > > Hello friends - > > We had just started chelating Luke w/suppository DMSA again after a break due to sickness and travel.
