Guest guest
Sorry I haven't been on of late..Ive been just having one flare after another for nearly a month now. But have been referred to the above doctor, Dr. Banks in Boston, MA on May 3. I think I read here somewhere once that someone had gone to him and liked him. It's a Pancreatic Clinic so I'm really glad to FINALLY be going somewhere after nearly a year of this where there are actual Pancreatic Specialists. If anyone here knows anything of him can you please email me at darrow3@.... I check that more frequently than anything else. Also, if you would please put his name or pancreatitis or something so I won't delete it if it goes to my bulk mail ok? Thanks!!
Guest guest
, Dr. Banks is internationally known for his pancreatitis research and publications. He's Director of the Gastro division at Brigham & Woman's Hospital in Boston, I believe, or some similar title. Although I've heard his name cross the board several times in the past four years, I can't remember who the members were that had seen him. One person who saw him was very disappointed, I believe it was because Dr. Banks wouldn't review any of the records, lab work, CT-scans and other radiological material that she brought from her previous doctors and hospitals, and he insisted that everything be redone at his facility. This upset her, and I don't know what the final outcome was for this patient. Another report from another member was very positive, as I remember. Peg Bates may have taken Brandan to see him at some time, but I don't believe he ever became Brandan's regular physician. Sorry that I couldn't have been of more help on this question. Perhaps whomever it was that saw him will see this and speak up. You also might try typing his name into the archives block, and see if any discussion comes up from past messages. He is highly experienced, though, and if nothing else, should be able to help get to the bottom of your problems and ultimately help you. Please let us know how you appointment works out. We've missed hearing from you, but certainly understand how hard it can be to keep up when you're feeling so crappy and in pain all of the time. I hope that your health improves and that you have good success with the new doctor. With love, hope and prayers, Heidi Heidi H.
