Guest guest
Hi Chrissy, Of course I'll keep you posted. I am not too bad apart from what seems to be sinusitis or rhinitis which has persisted since I had the flu in February. I MUST go to my GP! Sense of smell badly affected, blocked or runny nose most of the time, bad catarrh all the time, muffled hearing or noise in ears at times, etc. etc. Pancreas not too good to- day but has been excellent for several weeks. Gluten-free, low fat, no alcohol and, of course, Creon, does seem to help greatly. Yesterday's Prof also gave the view that my pancreas was probably burnt out. I'm not yet diabetic though. I'll be thinking about you on 9th and hoping that all goes well. I hope that this will be an unfortunate blip in your otherwise excellent recovery from the TP. Jim is making excellent progress too. Went out to lunch with some friends of ours to-day while I slaved away at school! I'm thinking of retirement at Christmas or July 2006. However, if there are any problems for Jim, I could finish this July. We have a general election campaign at the moment...did I mention this in a recent post? The election is on 5th May and the three weeks preceding are dominated by politics on TV etc. One of our school's sites is used as a polling station so our 11 and 12 year-olds have the day off! One way of getting them to have a positive attitude to politics! They are delighted whereas the rest of us are already heartily sick of the election! If I hear one more politician telling us what wonderful things his/her party is going to do if elected (or more likely...how awful the other parties are!) I'll explode. still, somebody has to do the job so I shouldn't be too critical of any of them, I suppose! I'm not sure that I have any really good news for you....but spring is here! It is now over two years since my CP diagnosis and I don't know how I would have survived without the PAI. I am so grateful. The good news is that we all support each other so well and really care, despite the fact that we haven't met. That thought buoys me up in darker moments...and there have been a few recently, what with Jim's problems as well as my own. Take care Chrissy and thank you! With love, Fliss (UK)
