Guest guest
Hey Sperb, I tried to e-mail you and it came back to me, I must have messed up. I have to tell you that I freaked a little after surgery. But the opposite as you. everything I ate or drank felt like a heart attack. The indigestion was horrible until a few days ago. I thought I had made a terrible mistake and that Dr. R got my stomach TOO SMALL!!!!!!!. I am full to the gills on 5 to 6 teaspoons, but them stomach growling and hungry!!!! 1 hour later!!! I feel like all I do is eat. I wish so much that I could drink a few good gulps even guzzle. But I can;t, I am thirsty all the time. I am still doing ice chips. I think it has something to so with the meds. Previcid and Carafate both can make you thirsty. Lets just hang in there because it has only been 13 days!!!!!!!! Just relax and enjoy learning about your new self. Have you lost any weight yet? Are you eating less than you did before surgery? We are all in this together. I need you guys too. I will write my story this week. I have just been to busy and working way to many hours trying to catch up on bills. Love and Big Colorado Rocky Mountain Hugs. We have snow on Pikes Peak and its so beautiful. Love, Debbie Lawson Colorado 11-09-00 234/

Guest guest
Wow, sounds like you've been through the mill! Glad the indigestion is better for you now. I'll bet the weight is just falling off of you! (I'm jealous!) I'll be going to the doc tomorrow and I think he has an accurate weight on me. I may have lost around 10 pounds, but I can't tell in my clothes yet. This is crazy making for me: I'm hungry all the time! and believe me Vagus neve or no, I still want chocolate! Oh, well, time will tell. But I'm especially glad you're feeling better. Guest guest
Sperb, Pla...leeeez I still want alot of things, honest. But some of the things just won't go down. I think you're worry-ing too much! Let it happen, hon. Listen to your body. Are you eating every 2 hours? Are you almost constantly sipping water? (in between the eating times) I started eating soft foods right before my two weeks were up, some mashed potatoes and dressing... water melon. Believe me my stomach tells me when I can't have something, if not with the first bite, definately with the second... Fast food places drive me just a little insane.. I'm so use to eating there while I'm working on week-ends.. So, I try to stay clear of them. Today I pulled up to Mc s and ordered chicken noodle soup (we have soup at our Mcdonalds). It was fine, fast food attack over! Nobody said this was gonna be easy! Its just a tool to help us use our will-power in choosing what to eat. Wishing you well.. Trudy Re: Hi !!!!!!! Guest guest
Chicken noodle at Mcs? You must live amongst the rich and famous!!!! Yes, I am worrying too much and I shall try to chill out a little bit. I thought the cravings were supposed to be gone pretty much and I was kind of hoping I'd puke if I did anything too bad. But lucky me, I can eat a Worlds Finest chocolate bar with nary a burp nor bubble. I was kind of hoping this was not going to be an issue any more. But I will attempt to exercise the atom or two of will power I own and see if I can do just a little better than chocolate!!!! Thanks for bein there.
