Guest guest
I am having a problem with almond butter. I was looking through Elaine's site and saw that almond butter needs to be from blanched almonds. Is this right? If so, is there another blanched almond butter besides " Almondie " ? I tried that and it does not taste good to me. I have been using regular almond butter and that tastes good to me. I looked on the ingredients and it says the almonds are dry roasted. Is this okay, or illegal? I could not find the answer on Elaine's site. Would blanched dry roasted be okay? What is everyone using for almond butter? Thank you, SCD 3 months eczema, food allergies
Guest guest
you could be like my daughter and i - we don't tolerate almonds, period. we're doing NAET to clear this allergy. but right now, we can only eat pecans or macademia nuts. silvia SCD 4 months for eczema, food intolerance, yeast > I am having a problem with almond butter. Guest guest
I don't know much about it, but you can google it. All I can say is that I know several people, both kids and adults, who have gone through/are still going through treatment, and it works. It's amazing. I'd love to have it done on my entire family, but we just can't afford it even for one of us right now with all of the biomedical intervention we're doing for our son right now...not to mention therapies, too. Maybe one day soon. Guest guest
What is NAET, AND does it work? Have you gotten rid of other allergies with it? Guest guest
Hi MAry, << I am having a problem with almond butter. I was looking through > Elaine's site and saw that almond butter needs to be from blanched > almonds. Is this right?>> No, this is not quite right. Almond butter doesn't have to be blanched *but* the brown skins are harder to digest and some people don't tolerate them. For those people blanched almond flour or blanched almond butter is an easier to digest option. << If so, is there another blanched almond > butter besides " Almondie " ? >> I am not familiar with other names but have heard of others in the past. You may be able to ask at health food stores. Sometimes they will grind pnut butter - maybe they'll gring blanched almonds for you into nut butter. << I tried that and it does not taste good to> me. I have been using regular almond butter and that tastes good to > me. >> If you had no problems tolerating regular almond butter then don't worry it is legal. << I looked on the ingredients and it says the almonds are dry > roasted. Is this okay, or illegal? I could not find the answer on > Elaine's site. Would blanched dry roasted be okay?>> Dry roasted with no additives is fine. If the almond butter has some oil added just make sure it is a legal oil. Sheila, SCD Feb. 2001, UC 23yrs mom of and
Guest guest
Thank you! Maybe I will try using my almond flour in the food processor with some coconut oil and salt. That may taste better. -- Re: almond butter Hi MAry, << I am having a problem with almond butter. I was looking through > Elaine's site and saw that almond butter needs to be from blanched > almonds.
