Satish,

I am sorry that your mother is doing so poorly. I have seen your

posts and I sense a desperation that is overwhelming. You certainly

care for and love your mother.

As to your mother's prognosis, one can never be assured that the rest

of her life will be " pain free. " As you know from the posts here,

that seems not to be the most common case. Let's just hope it is not

terrible or overwhelming " for her. "

One thing concerns me that I read. She has bedsores!! THAT is

unacceptable! There is no reason on this earth that anyone should

have this at all. It tends to bely the level of care that she is

getting, which, I am concerned here, may be poor. From your message

she has been in hospital for six months? Please correct me if I am

wrong. I was in hospital for 8 months. No bedsores! Also, her age

should have no bearing on this type of problem. How old is she? (Just

curious.)

One reason that I shied away from answering your post was that you

were asking for a " prognosis. " No one here can really answer that at

all. However, with our combined experiences, we can only " guess " and

hope that it will be the best outcome in the universe. No small feat!

Take care and please keep us up to date on your mother.

With love and caring,

Anyse

Satish,

I am not a doctor or a nurse so I cannot give you really good answers but

from my own personal experience I can say it takes time to recover from anything

surgical and she may have bouts of pain for a while. This may not be the

magic cure for her. Sometimes the surgeries don't help and they have to go back

and try something else. I am hoping that as she heals she will feel better every

day.

The bedsores should not be there. That is neglect on the part of the

hospital. I hope she gets rid of those soon. I am praying for you and your mom.

She

is so lucky to have you!!
