Guest guest
Angie you can butt into any converstion of mine anytime you want...LOL. Thank you so much for thekind words, it really means a lot. I would love to get a card and even better to meet you in person some day. My surgery is scheduled for Monday, the 9th. I'm not sure how long I will be in but guessing 4 or 5 days or so. I will have to look up the mailing address to MUSC and will post it. How are you feeling after having your first octreotide inj? Do you think it helped any; are you supposed to have another? I haven't seen you posting much lately and was hoping it was due to your feeling better. Well I am off to bed or should say back to bed, I am absolutely exhausted today. Thanks again,
Guest guest
, Unfortunately it has not helped much. I am going back to have another one on May 18th. That is why I was wondering about your surgery 'cause I'll be heading up that way. I was gonna' pop in on you. I did good for a few days after the inj. and then whammo! I have had several really rough days. I missed one day of work last week and I am out today. I got up and got dressed and walked outside and came back in and told my hubby I can't do this today. I am just so exhausted. The pain is not horrible but it is there and the diarrhea is back full force. I can't stay off of the toilet. I don't know why my diarrhea has come back. It started on Saturday. I thought I had a virus at first because of the nausea and diarrhea but it has not stopped and it is the lovely floaty, oily, ring around the toilet won't flush stuff. I hate it!! The cramps are pretty bad too. I don't know whether to call the doc or not. I am taking my enzymes and trying to stay on liquids. The strange thing is I have been gaining weight rapidly. I don't understand how with all of this diarrhea and being on liquids. My body is just going nuts!! I am just so ready to get this surgery over with and I hope it helps. but deep down, I don't think it will. I am scared to death! I have never had this type of surgery and it really frightens me. I have had some pretty major surgeries but they weren't as invasive. Oh well, enough of a pity party for me! I hope you are feeling better today.
